FireFox, wrestling

Tech - Firefox’s 1.1 release is being pushed back a bit. Bummer. Although I’ve not seen mention of my particular issue, I’m hoping maybe it will be resolved with the next release (or maybe if I just uninstall/reinstall… but I’m lazy). I love firefox and do a lot of promotion (dunno what it is? scroll down and click the “Get Firefox” button), but I do have to confess that on ONE of my machines it sometimes is a bit flakely and doesn’t close ‘completely’. In other words, I close the browser but still see it in my task list (XP Pro sp2). If I then opt to shut down the computer I’ll get the “Firefox is unresponsive, kill it?” message. /shrug Not losing sleep over it, but it does grow wearisome.

Wrestling - The thing this morning was actually a tournament. A lot of clubs were there and it was a bit chaotic. The boy only got to wrestle twice (double-elim) but he had a lot of fun. The first round he put up one heck of a fight, but he was out-classed, just no way to duck around it. The other kid had a few years of experience on him and it showed. However, he fought off the pin until the end of the second period and hopefully learned some new moves (that guy had some great moves!). He did really well with what he’s been taught so far and had a good defensive workout. Second match was much closer, in fact we thought he had won it, but the judges had scored otherwise. Ah well, not going to make a stink. He spent most of that match in control of the fight - the other guy did wrack up some good escape points though. Was a really good match, regardless of how it was scored. (Y) We’re quite proud of him! I suspect that he’s going to be a great wrestler is he continues to stick with it and learn more of the holds and moves. He’s strong and flexible and fast.
