To wrap up last night’s post about my ailing gaming machine: All better now. Spent a lot of hours running various scanners and utilities. Didn’t really get a hint until I wanted to back some stuff up to my domain server (win2k3 Active Directory). Couldn’t connect. “Huh,” says I cleverly. Rebooted So, as mentioned in the post earlier this evening, it had been suggested I tweak AVG a bit to see if that would help with my Everquest “lock ups”. Well, I made the changes and AVG told me i had to reboot. So I did. And have yet to succesfully boot since. WTF? |
