A bit more on the Google Portal: It rocks. Made it my start page even (*gasp* replaced slashdot?!?) . Really nice feature? You can add your own content to your portal by pointing it to an RSS feed. So, all the blogs I monitor are now modules on my google

Google Portal - better now

SimpleRich just left me a comment on an older post here : Google’s portal has been improved. (rubbing my nose in the fact that he’s scooped me again, no doubt).

A NAS running linux?

I find this article rather impressive: Basically a guy got a little network attached storage device to run debian linux. So, he has a $100 computer. High geek quotient!

Firefox 1.06

Firefox 1.06 is released. Doesn’t seem to be anything major in the release notes (stability release?).

Last month I had some challenges with my home domain server. At the time, I recall thinking that I really should get another machine going to mirror that one. If it ever were to die, I’d be kinda hosed.
