Picked up an interesting article from Slashdot this morning: Yahoo and AOL to offer a new anti-spyware initiative. Good stuff.
I had mentioned last May that Download.com was doing something similar (in concept).
Personally, I remember years back when I would spend entire evenings downloading software to check out and play with. And I remember after I slagged my machine for the 2nd or 3rd time with rabid infestations of spyware and malware that I began to give up that little habit. Trends like these are great news! Hopefully they’ll all make it work.
