Found LoopList (List Of Open-Source Programs) for Microsoft Windows OS’s tonight.
What is the LOOP list?
This is a list of high-quality, open-source applications that run on Windows. Feel free to edit and add any programs to this list that meet the criteria below. To learn more, read the FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions.
Purpose:
To demonstrate the quality of open-source applications and thereby advocate the open source software development model.
Poked through it a bit and found some nice stuff that I’d never heard of to add to the ever-growing list of stuff to check out some day. PlaneShift, the free 3D mmrpg definitely intrigues….
Towards the bottom of this list are links to a bunch of similar lists.
If you’re looking for some great alternatives to commercial software, you definitely want to look at lists like these for Open Source software.
