A family filled holiday weekend

I hope you all had a great holiday weekend!

It was jam-packed here. The wife’s sister from SD came out with her two 20’somethings. The sister who lives nearby here has two boys in their early 20s and they both came out as well. So, at some points over the weekend we had 12 folks floating around. It was a lot of fun — and at times perhaps just a bit overwhelming for this particular geek! That’s an awful lot of social interaction… In fact, I went in to the office this morning partially because I knew I’d be alone and could get lots done (I was and I did) but also because a little “social down time” seemed rather appealing to be honest.

The house is quiet now. The SD crew headed back this morning. One of the other nephews flew out today as well. But if you listen closely you can still hear the echos from our very massive Nerf dart gun battles. We shook the foundations. We also played a lot of foosball, air hockey and assorted video games. Even found time to watch a few movies. In spite of my social challenges, it was a lot of fun.
