WordPress 2.0 final is out.

December 26, 2005 by Chris · 2 Comments

Yay!  You can download the “final” release of WordPress 2.0.

As an apparently rare IIS / PHP / Mysql user (WIMP as opposed to LAMP!) I’m pleased.  This release has fixed or addressed many of my minor issues.  And the Akismet plugin works now too.

My upgrade to Mysql 5.0 is still causing one issue, but I can work around it.  For now.

glad to here your upgrade went ok. i tried upgrading from RC1 on my test blog and totally borked it. i’m a little nervous to try it with my main blog. you were running 1.5?

I was running 1.5. Then a week or so ago I went to beta rc3, then yesterday to the release version of 2.0.

It seems one of the bigger issues I’ve noticed is a lot of folks don’t check out the readme file and notice that upgraders have an upgrade script that needs to be run.
