More (or another?) Google mobile options

Saw this one come across Make today, “HOW TO - Make any website a mobile site, with Google.” Give that a read if you want, but long story short, the author found a link at Google that can do some nifty stuff.

Ya know, I was hoping to write a paragraph or two on this, but there’s not much to say. I figure most readers can figure out how to click those two links and they’re both explanatory.

It does remind me of an article from MobileCrunch today though. Essentially, he was doing his part to spread the word about the Google offering, but mentioned that Google was pushing Yahoo! and Microsoft into the corner. One reader suggested that Yahoo! really seems to be doing a great job in the mobile space with their Yahoo! Mobile stuff. I commented that I tended to agree, but I sure wish Yahoo! would think that “mobile” isn’t just cell phones. I have the oft-mentioned iPAQ that I love to use. Y’s stuff is all about customizing for your cell phone. Well hell, I want to use it all on my PocketPC! Why just phones? There are other small-screen, low power browsers out there.

Speaking of mobile browsing.. what do you suppose this line at Opera means?

Opera Mobile™ for PPC and Windows Mobile 5.0 will come soon

And will it really cost me 29 clams to use it?

Ok ok, I added the mobile category. Sheesh, it is fun to be an A.D.D. blogger! “look, shiny things..”
