OnlyWire?

Anyone know much about OnlyWire? The website is a little sparse, but here’s the meat:

Do you use multiple social bookmarking services? Tired of having multiple shortcuts? Here is a simple free solution.

Speaking as a guy looking into social bookmarking services, this is potentially quite a find! However, I know jack and squat about ‘em and, as part of registration, I have to give them my usernames and passwords for all my bookmarking sites. The idea is that then I mark it once with OW and it goes everywhere. Talk about a convenience. I’m just a bit hesitant to wade in. No policies. No disclaimers. Hmmph. And once you’re in, you can’t change your OW password. Well, you can by logging out and saying you forgot yours. That’ll get you a new one assigned.

As I look over the list of services they can work with, I see I could be looking at social bookmarking sites for a long time to come!

I want to use this service! But gosh, I want to know more about them. I’d drop an email with these sorts of questions, but.. well… they don’t offer contact info. Have I stumbled on a alpha or beta site?

[later] Some googling turned up Terms. Dunno if current as I don’t see a link to them anywhere (oh, I could google for that too…). Anyways, what’s this “sponsors” stuff?

Good luck in your research. Your feedback and thoughts have been very valuable so far and I hope that in the end you will decide to go with http://www.blinklist.com. If not now, then hopefully down the line. We constantly keep making improvements so I am going to keep my hopes up for now. ;) Mike

I have been using onlywire to tag web pages for about 1 month and it seems to work great so far. I use them for delicious, furl, binklist and shadows. If you want to know more about them just send them an email at info@onlywire.com. This is the email address they list on their site.

Looks like they just released some sort of API to post directly to them or something.

I think they are a pretty new service. Great idea though.

If you’re looking for a ‘meta-bookmarking’ solution, take a look at my ListMixer:

It’s a holding area for bookmarks you might like to add to your permanent collection. Promote winners into your bookmarking service of choice. Unclicked links are automatically deleted after 30 days.

No signup required, not even an email address.

To give you an idea, here’s my Mix. Hover over a link and a menu pops up liking to del.icio.us, furl, etc. where it can be permanently stored.
