The facelift

After neglecting the looks of my “main site” for the last few years, I finally got off my duff this morning and gave it an update. It now matches this blog rather nicely I think. Oh, and for Monika:
Every page even!
I still have gobs of work to do on the thing. A lot of old and musty content and I suspect some good ol’ broken links too.
Not sure about my various “technology” pages though. With the advent of social bookmarking and such, I may just tag all my stuff and put targetted links up for those tags instead. Seems like the lazy man’s approach, eh? Of course, we have to hope and assume the chosen bookmarking site will be around for the long term.

Or you could use http://www.tagcloud.com/ to make your own tag cloud and import it to your page somehow?
Here’s the cloud for my blog. It’s automated and I’ve only JUST started playing with it… I’m looking to see if there’s a way to move it from them to me so that if they go belly-up in the dot.com fizzle of ‘06 as web2.0 cries itself to sleep I won’t lose my clouds hehe.
http://www.tagcloud.com/cloud/html/simplerich/default/50 is the URL of my cloud… it’s still building itself so give it some time to coalesce into the thing of beauty that I’m sure it will be.
Oh say, now that’s an interesting idea. Will definitely have to look at that as well.
Thanks for the tip!
Your cloud was still rather … um… not cloudy yet. What’s with the “default/50″ gunk on the url? Only show 50 tags?
Ayup, can change it to 200 or 25 etc.
Weird, still no sign of condensation.
It’s obviously a sunshiney day in spite of my cloudy outlook. :/
