The joys of mod_rewrite

Changed my feeds over to Feedburner almost a week ago. Been trying to figure out how to handle the folks still going to some of the older feed URLs, but was kind of stumped about how to make that work with apache and mod-rewrite.
Had a long “tutorial’ish” article to write, but got distracted with helping out some neighbors on a carpentry project… I did find one article that got me jump-started. No clue if it’s a good article or not, as I’m an apache n00b, but it was enough to get me rolling. I must say, it seemed difficult to find “apache mod-rewrite for dummys” level articles.
So anyways, I think I’m doing some tolerable redirection, but I’m not entirely sure. As usual, if you notice anything (anything) broken, please leave a comment or drop me a note. Thanks!
