Windows UMPC Details

After much speculation, Microsoft has released some details about the new Ultra-Mobile PC. Haven’t gone through it all yet, but figured I’d share the link. Seems to be right between the Pocket PC and Tablet, running Win XP Tablet edition. Weighs in around 2 pounds.
What details don’t you see at first glance? How about real specs — CPU, battery (and life) and ram?

Am I intrigued? Yup. More later.

Meh.  I dunno, I think it is pretty “nifty” and all but I sure can’t figure out any way that I’d find it truly useful on a daily basis.  However, I have some wonderful uses for it in vertical markets.  I bet these things will kill off a lot of Pocket PC apps over time.  Why develop for the PPC (which I find rather tedious) if I can do it all as a windows application instead?
