Performancing Followup

Some quick followup from last night’s post.
Performancing Metrics: I’m blown away. Easy to use and what seems to be darned near “real-time” analytics. Yeah, I’m digging it. Not as much detail on some things as Google Analytics has (and I miss that little map with the dots where visitors live!) but much more approachable.
Performancing for Firefox: (blogging plugin) This is my first post from it. So far so good aside from one rather annoying mishap: Before checking out saved/draft posts, remember to save the post you’re working on! No warning, just *poof*. Lesson learned.
What I really like here is that it runs right in the browser. Lower portion is this nice little authoring environment. Yet, I can still access all of my various tabs at the same time. Makes life really simple when looking up urls for links.
What I’m not too sure about is how to integrate this for tagging. I like to tag my blog posts and I use a plugin called Ultimate Tag Warrior to help manage that. It integrates nicely with the wordpress editor and presents me with a list of tags I’ve already used. Now, over in the settings area, I see the option to automatically insert Technorati tags on publishing. But I haven’t yet figured out where I specify what those tags are to be. Man, I’m going to have to break down and read the manual I suppose. [I did. Simple. Publishing Options] Ok, so the line below is how that looks. It adds the line right to the post. Something I need to ponder a bit more.
Technorati Tags: performancing, metrics, blog
[post "post"] I set it to post as draft, and that worked as expected. So now I’m back in the WP editor where I’ll quick toss in my usual UTW tags as well and, in most cases, probably not bother with the tags from the performancing plug-in. Even doing that it still seems like a win.

You’re just now using it? Aren’t you the one who suggested it to me ages ago? (I’m talking about performancing here)
Got me. Did I suggest it to you? I might have passed along a link once, but that’s my way of losing things it seems. :-p
