Goowy IM/Storage getting closer

Just noticed that the Goowy folks have blogged an update on their IM and online storage. Still in the “coming soon” category. I had been invited to try it out a while back when it was available so hoping to hear something soon. [other mentions of goowy here].
Goowy’s got some great stuff going on already with the email, calendar, rss reader and other nifty little gadgets. Adding IM and storage to it will make it a very capable online desktop. I like the notion of getting to all my “stuff” from any computer and this is an easy way to go about it — and visually appealing as well.
[later] well, looks like the A-listers get their shots at it first (a reasonable marketing approach I reckon). TechCrunch has played with the new features already. Reading his article brings up an interesting thought: The online storage bits of Goowy are being done via api to box.net. I wonder if I’ll be able to use my existing box.net account (not the same as my goowy account of course) when this is rolled out? I sure hope so!

Yah, cuz you’d hate to have two box.net accounts.
Well, I tend to put little scraps of bits and pieces up there that I’d like to get to easily from anywhere. I sure don’t want to have to keep track of which box.net account has which scraps!
Or… do I want to build a box.net “aggregator” app? What a cheesy way to exploit the 1GB free limit though. That’d be wrong, right?
What does “wrong” have to do with using more space to your world-wide-accesible storage?
I mean, come on…it’s not like you have a linux box with gmailfs to use your gmail account as online storage everywhere you go, right?
