Outages, Apologies, Blame Assignment

Sorry for the outages this weekend. I was out of town taking a short yet true vacation. What’s a true vacation? The kind where you leave the laptop at home and don’t think about jobs. It was great (there’ll be more on the personal blog later).
Anyways, my newest Vonage router has seemingly lost it’s mind this past week and seems to need to be power-cycled every 1.5 to 2 days or it just “stops”. No phones. No internet traffic. Unplug it and plug it back in and everything’s just groovy again. For a day or so. Weird and annoying. Of course, this happened while I was out of town and busy not thinking about anything with chips.
Got home this afternoon and got it squared away so hopefully we’re back up and online.
I suppose I’ll have to call the Vonage folks about this soon, but I know from experience that the customer service doesn’t seem to like to swap hardware and I dunno that I have the fortitude to start up another calling campaign right now. Great price, decent quality, dismal customer service. *sigh*
