Got an email from “Jake” about his new Ajax Home Page product located at Yoosi. At first glance, it looks rather nifty. I’m a bit burnt out on ‘em right now, but figured I’d put the link up here in the event someone would like to experiment with it.

James left a comment on one of my TrueCrypt posts wonderering about my thoughts on choosing file/container based encryption over full disk encryption. For me, it is a no brainer really: I like some encryption. I want some encryption. On a desktop machine with multiple drives I’d seriously consider using TC to encrypt an entire (non-boot) drive should the need be there. On my laptop? heck no! To really sum it up though, I went with file based volumes as it is flexible and portable which fits my needs and makes some clients happy.

Djx has apologized for “borrowing” a post without attribution. Apology accepted.

Mike responded to my last Krugle article and pointed out that Koders.com is another option. I’ve used it a few times since and generally been impressed. Might have to try and take a deeper look someday when time allows, but figured I’d hilight it here for the coder-types not in the Krugle beta to check out.

Rich dropped off an interesting news article related to my Sprint rant. Thanks! (What’s a sploid, btw?)

And now, I’m back to wrestling down some SQL Server DTS packages. So far I’ve eliminated easily 4-5 hours from our nightly processes. I think I can shave a few more hours. :-)
