Firefox 2 beta 1 was announced today. This isn’t yet another “release candidate” — tons of those already announced during the last week. This time it’s the real deal.
Checkout that link. At first glance, it looks like some old favorite extensions will no longer be necessary.

My favorite feature is the type as you go spell check that is very like the spell checking feature of MS Word and it works in any text box, including this one. Fun part… firefox isn’t in the dictionary (or wasn’t in my download, rumor has it it’s been added in a nightly build)
