Worth a look if you haven’t explored alternatives to the built-in blog editor that your blog-of-choice inflicts upon you. What I really like is how I can keep my post open along the bottom of the browser window as I shuffle through assorted tabs at the top. Makes composing a post almost pleasant.

Speaking of Performancing, I’m still a huge fan of their Performancing Metrics as well. (In theory, here’s a link to my “public stats” — I’ll just claim that today (or whenever you look) was a strangely low volume day ;-) ) The stats are easy to follow, easy to understand and quite useful. I still have my Google Analytics account, but I find that I spend more time glancing at these Metrics instead. Just easier to digest.

If you’re a WordPress blogger, have a look at the Pmetrics plugin. Among other things, it will add the necessary javascript for you and ensure that you’re not counted when logged in. Nice thing about using a plugin to automagically add the javascript is that you have one less thing to worry about when switching themes.

Now the weird part: I still haven’t really figured out what Performancing is. I use some of their stuff… but I’m still a bit confused. The tag line of “Helping bloggers succeed” should, I guess, help me infer that they are service oriented. The metrics and editor plugin are great. They appear to have a well-used forums area as well. But what do they do? Apparently registered users have a blog there. Apparently folks earn points somehow. I should figure this out someday.

Oops… maybe I should’ve looked a bit closer at the site! After writing the above, I took a small break and then came back and found a useful link that pretty much lays it all out.

Hey, I found the blogrank thing too:
