Seth Godin has some pretty radical thoughts on the value of job interviews – and suggests ending them altogether (yes, he has alternatives suggested). Pretty radical stuff, and I’m rather tempted to forward it to some folks here at the day job… for a lot of what we hire he seems to make great sense.

Best interview I ever had was a tour of a warehouse and then they handed me a pick ticket and told me to be back at the desk in an hour finished or not. If you finished in under an hour you had the job. If you finished in under half an hour you had the job at a higher pay rate.
