Internet Explorer 7 released

The IEBlog has announced it: Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP has been released. There’s also a post there on feedback and support.  Have a look at those articles and past IEblog posts; lots of good information.

I’ve been using the betas and release candidates most of this year. I definitely like it better than IE6. It’s pretty solid and while ma and pa may not instantly love the new “sleek” look, I sure do. More room for the site, less for the UI. In my informal testing this year, most sites work just fine. The WordPress Codex gets a bit wonky from time to time (page text just disappears!), but that’s in the minority.

As a web developer, life is about to get pretty interesting at work. I think most of our stuff will be fine, but… I probably need to regression test some of the older Ajax stuff.
