Gaim, Zapr and PageFlakes Updates

Pile of updates from the last few days.
- Zapr announced (then unannounced and now re-announced) a new beta version earlier this week. This is the one that I bet many have been waiting for — private sharing is in there! I like Zapr, it’s a nifty way to do some simple file-sharing with friends and family. [other Zapr mentions here]
- Gaim 2.04beta announced (finally!). If you haven’t succumbed to the siren’s call of web based Instant Messaging, then Gaim is where you should be looking (in my humble opinion). Connect to all your IM buddies with just one client. Logging. Cross-platform. Check the Gaim Planet blog to see what sorts of things are in there.
- PageFlakes got a makeover. Like… wow! This makes it look like a totally different app. If you’re still hunting around for a web desktop thingy, give these guys another look. Their RSS reader is pretty slick, once you stumble into it. [previous PageFlakes mentions]
- Performancing Partners was announced. A new ad network that you might notice over in the sidebar. Assuming they get some advertisers, might be interesting. Here’s the obligatory TechCrunch take on things. I fit in that small blogger niche so I’m definitely interested. I have this fantasy of just getting ad revenue to pay for hosting. ..

Thanks for the support. A couple of hesitations at the gate, so to speak, so we are working on some minor bugs and hope to have it out today. Here are some notes;
Here’s what this release is all about;

Hi,
We have launched the new version of Pageflakes 2 days ago. Needless to
say that I am very excited. Many new features and applications have been
added and the whole interface has undergone a major facelift. Publishing
or sharing pages is much easier now, the selection of templates (ready
to use themes, e.g. sports, finance, etc.) is now online and we are
adding new language support every week (English and German available
now, followed by Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian and Turkish soon).
Please check out the new Pageflakes at http://www.pageflakes.com and let me
know your thoughts and feedback.

Of course, I’d be thrilled if you spread the word and setup a public or
shared page. Maybe you can also write a little review on your Blog.
Thanks for your support.
Best regards
