My Xubuntu Laptop Has Sound!

Back in August, I wrote a post titled “The Quest for Noise” in which I described my trials and tribulations with getting the combination of my old Thinkpad 600E and Xubuntu to make noise without manually running a script after each reboot.

Warren dropped by earlier today and dropped a comment on that post with two great links. The second link has a nice little condensed walk-through that I just finished using.

And now my little thinkpad makes noise all by itself. No silly scripts to run anymore.

Warren, thank you so much for stopping by and leaving that comment. We’ve never met (to my knowledge) but you sure just made my day!
