BlinkList Unleashes the Data

A couple months ago I was griping about BlinkList’s export ability. In short, you could export, but there really wasn’t much you could actually do with that export that didn’t involve some pretty serious hoop-jumping.
Fortunately, that’s all in the past now. MindValley, the company behind BlinkList, have a blog post up this morning announcing that “BlinkList Users Have Full Control of Their Links.” In particular, there are now four new formats for exporting and importing:
- XML - this one retains all of your data including favorite tags, ratings, etc.
- CSV - this one allows you to rapidly edit your bookmarks in Excel.
- HTML - if you want your blinks in your browser this one is for you (although you can also use “live bookmarks” from FireFox to synch your bookmarks).
- JSON - this one is for all the developers out there. [...]
Good stuff and very welcome!

Yup, I remember your blog post! As I have always said, our community is key and we listen to what they have to say. Thanks for helping us improve our product and I am happy to see that you like this new improvement.
We have a lot more exciting enhancements in store for you. Just wait and see.
Hey Mike - looking forward to the new enhancements!
Hello!
1st of all, thanks for the posts!
And… I wanna ask you if any of this new formats… are compatible with del.icio.us import.
Thanx
Yep, it imports just fine.
Wow… it works! It imports to del.icio.us and the tags still are intact! YEAH!
The one that works for del.icio.us is the third one: “Backup your links in your Browser”
Thanks again!!
