Isn’t it cool?

Isn’t it neat when long tail bloggers make a difference?

Rich got himself in the middle of a discussion about the security of online collaboration applications (posts 1 and 2 have comments and links elsewhere). One of the Zoho guys responded acknowledging that what Rich suggested would be coming soon.

How cool is that? Cool for both Rich and Zoho.

What’s really neat is that this isn’t all that unusual for Zoho. Some searching (heck, even right here on my own blog) will turn up responses that have lead to new features or fixes. These guys get it.

But it sure is neat to see it on a friend’s blog.

You’ve hit upon one of my favorite things about zoho.

The thing they said they were going to address was brought up not that long ago. It’s not really ‘broken’ as it were, just a clarification of something… and they’re going to fix it.

Meanwhile software out there that people pay lots of money for and is broken three different zero day ways at once with no hint of a patch in sight remains broken with no mention on blogs that they even give a damn that people’s jobs and lives are being changed by their bad software. (we’re on an attachment moratorium until it’s fixed and people are actually listening after dire threats of unconstitutional pain and suffering to the person who infects the network by opening a bad attachment)

And yeah… it is really cool isn’t it? *grin*
Makes me feel all helpful and stuff. :)

A little conversation at this end of the blogosphere…

There has been lots of examples of companies ignoring users getting punished in the long run. And with the proliferation of blogs, the reaction’s much more immediate.
Thanks to gurus and blogging evangelists like Robert Scoble, Steve Rubel, Seth …

Oh, and contrary to what you might have read on some SEO forum, this is not a "Do Follow" blog.
