Free File Hosting - DivShare

DivShare Logo DivShare is a new file hosting service that seems, at first glance, ready to dominate their niche. Unlimited uploads, unlimited downloads, files online “forever” and all free.

Crazy stuff. And wait, there are more features, including the ability to do some light branding of your download page and a nifty little dashboard to show number of file downloads. Oh, and a photo gallery feature. Links to pictures for thumbnails or full size.

File size cap is 100MB, that’s about the only limit I’ve found so far…

No popups, no spam (so far) and currently not even ads. How the heck is this free?!?

    Hi Solo,
I have found one downside of divshare - their page takes forever to load (even though I am on 3mbit) from western Europe (Germany).

I will check it tomorrow and sometime else and if it improves I will add it to list of one-click filehosters without annoying crap.

    Thanks for sharing though.
Maybe you find one or two sites I reviewed helpful as well,
    yours jez

Bummer that they’re slow for you. From where I’m at they’re one of the fastest yet.

I’ll have a look at some of the sites in your link, thanks.

Looks promising, I like the fact that theres no ads, but I’m sure that wont last too long…

MediaFire.com offers most of the same features plus they have unlimited file size and are blazing fast with the easiest to use ajax interface I’ve ever seen.

Thanks for the link Drew. Looks like that’s one of Jez’s favorites too.

Pretty wild that these guys can do it for free and no ads.

hey divshare just opened their gates to me (seems like their database was down when I checked yesterday), and I must admit they are awesome.

I’d say even a little tick better then mediafire, which I like as well.

mihd.net I just got to know deletes files whenever they feel too. I reckon files causing too much traffic are trashed… avoid them.

I have added this new information to my one click hoster comparison

Thanks for the link, Alex. That’s an odd name for a file hosting service, but it seems to work.
