WordPress 2.1

WordPress 2.1 was released yesterday. Lot’s of neat things and shinies to admire, but there are some compatibility issues to be ‘ware of before plunging into the upgrade.
For instance, Ultimate Tag Warrior users: The new WP UTW gotcha and this UTW Support forum post are worth keeping an eye on. Summary: Approved comments delete tags. Doh.
[Update: Seems like maybe 082net has the fix in the comments? Just tried that, no longer losing tags when moving comments out of moderation]
I’ve bumped into a small issue using the newly redone image uploader with Opera. The img tag attributes get converted to all capital letters. I’ve logged it to trac, hopefully I’m not the only one using Opera (but I confess I hadn’t done any testing with Opera, was all with FF). Not a show-stopper by any means and I’m a bit embarassed I didn’t catch it in the release candidates.
Be sure to glance at the WP 2.1 Plugin Compatibility page before starting.

I have had some trouble with wordpress 2.1 as well.
In my opinion it’s not yet ready for public in this stage, as many plugins turn it into error-fest.
