Second Release: Add Related Posts to Your Feed

Last weekend I released my first plugin and received some good feedback. Most of that feedback was along the lines of, “Hey dummy, we use a different Related Posts plugin, not UTW!”

Ok, I can take a hint. ;-)

So, version .02 is released with support for the w-a-s-a-b-i Related Posts plugin. That site is down this evening and I didn’t have the plugin. I found version 2.04 and used that for development. Hopefully it is current? [Updated: seems current, found it here]

My plugin will now add the output from w-a-s-a-b-i related posts to your feed . If that’s not present, it will use UTW. If that’s not present, it’ll do a whole lot of nothing and send you silly emails asking why you’ve activated it (ok, not really, but someday it might).

Note: It uses the same wasabi Related Posts options that you’ve configured for display on your blog. And I’ve made a horrid assumption that you’re putting the posts in an unordered list. Most people seem to… if you’re not and the feed looks funny, leave a comment about how you display ‘em and we’ll see if I can’t help you hack up the plugin a bit.

If the UTW version was fine for you, then you need not use this version. Nothing changed for UTW users.

You can download it from my downloads page.
