A list of tidbits from the last week or so.

Omnidrive enhanced their Zoho integration by adding support for Zoho Sheet. Good stuff and some more interesting tidbits listed in that article. I forget, did we ever see anymore on the hopes for a Netvibes widget for Omnidrive?

Speaking of Netvibes, they had their “Coriander launch” (step 1) this week. Thumbs up to adjustable column widths. Big ol’ “meh” to the Coriander theme. I was back to the winter theme within 5 minutes. Some other stuff as well that might be interesting if you use NV as your feed reader.

Rich introduced me to the Metal Lion - Vista theme for Firefox this weekend. I dig it. It makes with the pretty.

This is a bit older, but so very cool: Visual Basic apps can run on any platform that supports Mono. Without modification. Say, that means my silly little Meebo Desktop app could run on Linux! Far out.

I’ve just started to dabble with Windows Home Server (previous mention). So far I’m blown away — this thing looks very very useful for the home market. Computerworld has a great review up titled, “Windows Home Server nearly ready for prime time” that’s worth a read if you’re wondering what it is all about.

I ran into a snag while testing though… I’ve just finished rebuilding/reloading almost all of the home machines here at Casa Solo. I’m really hesitant to install the beta client on my clean machines! So, I’ll have to grunt up another virtual machine to play client with I reckon.

Speaking of virtual machines, the free Virtual PC 2007 is pretty nice. Number one advantage for desktop users over the free VMware Player? VPC2k7 lets you create images without resorting to “hacks”. One downside? Only windows machines can be hosts. No *nix version.
