Zoho’s Been Busy

Zoho logo Zoho has to be one of the most prolific web-based application companies out there in my opinion. These guys just never seem to stop! Lately my attention has been elsewhere, but some exploration yesterday really brought it home how busy they’ve been.

Earlier in March, some scheduled maintenance was announced. This maintenance was to move Zoho apps/services to a new datacenter with more powerful servers. Now, I don’t see Zoho Planner listed as one of the ones moving. However, I was messing around with it earlier today and was blown away by how much more responsive it is these days. Nice side-effect of all the other apps moving?

Side note: Why was I messing around with Zoho Planner? While it’s not really a “GTD” app (*sigh*) the ability to add attachments and selectively share pages is really, really nice.

They’ve also announced enhancements for Zoho Sheet and rolled out new products for Zoho Meeting, ToonDoo and Site 24×7 — along with a host of other incremental improvements (like Zoho chat). Oh, and Zoho Mail, “the rename” (I wonder how it handles spam?). And that’s just within the past couple weeks.

These guys just don’t ever stand still. Subscribe to their blog — it’s rarely dull (and no, I have no affiliation with Zoho. I’m just impressed).

Thanks as always, Chris. Glad that you were able to spend some time with Zoho lately! Keep using Zoho, we will be continuing with our current pace of development and there are lots more to come :-)
