Box.Net Office on Demand

Box.Net has unleashed the first beta release of Office on Demand:
[...] a cool new way to save files directly from Microsoft Office to your Box. Currently it’s compatible with Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Access both in 2007 and 2003 (and XP/Vista!).
This gives yet another option for working with box.net and documents. Don’t forget, we already had the ability to open/save box.net files with Zoho Writer. Now, once you have documents in your box.net storage, you have multiple options to work with them.
I’ve been busy and haven’t finished reloading all my software from a recent crash. Thus, I haven’t had a a chance to install Office and check this out. My main question is, for the moment, is there a “Open from Box.net Option” as part of this as well?

Unfortunately, “Open from Box.net” is not a function that is curently supported. However, it would be the logical next step, and we have been hearing feedback from users who would like to see that. This is a feature that certainly may be available in the near future.
Thanks for dropping by Alex.
“Save to” is pretty cool. I can see myself using it. “Open from” would really put the icing on the cake though
I tried it out a few days ago, pretty slick interface. Very cool Web 2.0 tech.
