Zoho Meeting Public Beta

I know, I’m going to look like a total Zoho fanboi; what with two posts in two days about their products… But hey, I am a fan and this is “breaking” news.
Zoho Meeting came out of private beta today. Some of the key points:
- Create Meetings, share desktop with multiple attendees
- Attendees can attend the meeting from any operating system
- Comes with three viewers - Active-X, Java and Flash
- Participants can choose to control presenter’s desktop
- Meeting Viewer can be embedded into web pages and applications
- Zoho Show and Zoho Chat is integrated into Zoho Meeting
- Zoho Meeting is currently free while in Beta
What immediately caught my eye: See bullet 4 about controlling the presenter’s desktop? Could this be another interesting option for remote support? Something I’d like to test out soon. Of course, the integrated Zoho chat and Zoho Show look great too.
Wonder what sort of pricing structure we’ll see? CrossLoop (remote support) is free and works great — but doesn’t do one fourth of what this does. Some of the folks at work swear by Glance, but it isn’t exactly free and a lot of the competitors in the “online meeting” space are even more expensive. For instance, while WebEx is pretty slick, the pricing just about stops my heart.
I definitely look forward to trying this out soon (in a real-world test). Anyone used it yet? If so, I’d love to hear your impressions.

Thanks for taking note of the Zoho Meeting release, Chris
This looks like a GREAT product. Thanks for giving me a heads-up about it. It looks like something I can really use. . .
Julie
Thanks for the notice, but Iam not sure I require anything this complicated.
p.s. I have a new viral link device at my blog, it can get you some extra traffic, feel free to check it out at

@Arvind - Thanks for dropping by
@Julie - you’re welcome, of course.
@Lynnl - Oh, it’s not all the complicated… good luck with the viral thing.
Hi guys,
if you are concerned about the price go and get teamviewer (www.teamviewer.com). This desktop sharing tool is for free, can do a lot of things and simply works marvellous!
Joeys
Great link, Joeys. Thanks for sharing it. I’ll have to give it a look soon.
Chris - we are not a web conferencing tool and dont intend to be one.
We want grandma to be able to get help!
Thanks
Hi Mrinal — I knew that comment would get your attention.
I know exactly where CrossLoop plays and I use it frequently. Zoho Meeting might just be another tool in the toolbox for similar activities…
