Google Reader Making Me Cry

Is it just me? Does anyone else twitch everytime the new Google Reader “Loading” animated icon shows up?
I find it intensely jarring. It literally is driving me nuts.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m still using GReader. But geeze, that thing is like a steel rod to the eyeball every time I see it.

You are not the only one. And for me it loads for a long time (for many minutes if I don’t stop it because it is annoying me) a good percentage of the time. I have always wondered if this is some glitch that I experience or whether this is common.
Until you commented on it I hadn’t noticed it.
I’m not sure if it’ll bug me yet or not, but if it does I’ll have you to thank.
Jon - I’ve had the long load thing a couple times where only the very top of the page (and “loading”) shows.
If I see that for 30 seconds, I just hit F5 and it tends to then reload quite quickly. Odd…
Rich - No problem, I’m here to help!
I’m with Rich. I never noticed the eyesore until you pointed it out. It’s like someone direction your attention to a stain on your shirt you hadn’t noticed, now it’s all you see.
Ok, now I have guilt… (not really, but it seems polite to say so).
Thanks for stopping by!
