Reduce Firefox Memory on Vista

I’m a bit disappointed to realize that my trusty (and popular) Quick Firefox Memory tip doesn’t do squat on a Vista machine. What a bummer!
I’m looking for alternatives to that tip if anyone knows of any — a 200+ MB browser that never shrinks just ain’t cool. I recently saw mention of an extension called RAMBack that might help, but haven’t tried it yet. If you’ve tried it, drop a comment please?
[update] Oops, RAMBack is for Firefox 3+ (beta)
For several months, recently, I was almost full time IE7 (with the IE7 Pro extension) and just used Firefox for debugging. Darned if I can recall when/why I switched back… but I know I didn’t kvetch about memory for those few months. ![]()
