Another Method of YouTube Converting

A bit over a year ago I wrote “Want YouTube videos on your iPod?“, an article that received a fair amount of search engine traffic. While there were some options that worked ok, I stumbled over a new option recently.
There’s not a whole lot of information about ConvertTube on their site (I notice the copyright is to meetadeveloper.com for what that’s worth), but if you want to get a YouTube video converted to something you can put on a device, it sure seems to work quite well. Easy too. Just plop in the url, tick the appropriate format box and kick back and wait.
You can do one conversion every 15 minutes, or you can pay for more. My daughter seems to be patiently filling up her 30GB Zune on the free plan. Dedication…

This actually works for your daughter? It is just like many others for me in the fact it doesn’t work! It always tells me that http://www.youtube.com could not be resolved. Do you think that youtube banned them as well?

Hey Trent: dunno what was going on the other day, but I just converted one this morning with no issues… can’t say I’d be overly surprised to hear that youtube is trying to keep ahead of ‘em though!
Works for me this morning now. This is really confusing, but that is the first time in a “long time” that one worked! I appreciate the link and help Chris!
