I’m Grooving on Twitter - Need A Windows Client

Now? I dunno, but I think I’m mostly over it or just missing the point. I toyed with Pownce but didn’t get hooked in. I’ve never uttered a tweet via Twitter. I don’t do flickr. I’ve started with Facebook but keep forgetting I have an account….
That’s a quote from an article I wrote 8 days ago. Before I starting playing with Twitter.
(I didn’t get it back in March of ‘07 either).
Ya know? It’s actually pretty cool. I find it a pleasant distraction when working at a computer and find that it folks tweet some interesting insights and news along the way. The web interface is easy and intuitive, but I prefer a nice client app — thanks to a published API there are many to chose from.
I’m struggling, however, to find a Windows client that I like. For Linux, I’m quite happy with the Twitux client. It was the first I tried and of the few I’ve looked at, still my favorite.
On the Windows side, however, I’ve tried quite a pile of them. Some are pretty slick and many are arguably better looking than Twitux, but they all seem to miss one useful feature.
In the example above (from the web interface) you see the tweet starts with “@kevindente” which signifies that the tweet is responding to someone else’s message. Now, I follow codinghorror, but not the other fellow. However, I can just click his name and see what’s up and what the response was about. Helps me understand what I’m reading.
Twitux catches those and makes the @reply-to-name a link. Click the link and see that person’s timeline of tweets. Very nice when looking for context behind a response. It’s also how I’ve found a few people to follow along the way (including, I might add, Mr. Codinghorror himself — although I’ve been a long time blog reader).
My point being (honest, there’s a point in all this!) is that I can’t find a Windows Twitter client that links the reply name like the Twitux and the twitter site itself do.
I’ve tried 5 or 6 so far — should I keep trying others? Anyone using a client that has this feature?

have you tried that thing that puts a site on a widget? the one site/app thing? I can’t remember the name of it.
Prism? Yep.
The real reason I’m after a client app is they refresh periodically. The Twitter.com page doesn’t. Also, with a client, I get a beep/boop/alert/something that let’s me know a message has arrived.
As ever, you help me remember things I meant to include in the original article.

that’s what you’re looking for.
You can thank me later.
