What say you?
The main reason I use Firefox is for the extensions. I know, from past experience, that betas have issues with extensions. That being said, is the FF3 beta good enough to give it a shot? I’m hearing good things about it…
Can I just set extensions.checkCompatibility (about:config) to false and run my extensions?

I wasn’t aware of that options in the about:config panel, I use Firefox 3 beta and my experience is great except for what you point with the extensions. One in particular is Fire FTP, which I love, I’ll be trying it today and reporting back, if you don’t mind.
I am planning on testing it out this week after backing up my profile. If portableapps has a portable version available yet, that might be a way to get some testing in in a safe setting.
Thanks for the headsup – I didn’t even know it was out in Beta, thought it was still dev… Will have a play over the weekend methinks
Love it so much I use it without the extensions. I may try the about:config thing later.
Truth be told, the last nightly build was the crashiest one I have had and it would crash if I would click a button, like submit, and then drag my mouse for some reason.
Even with that I love it enough to keep it.
Well, it seems like the consensus is that I should give it a shot. Sounds like something interesting to do this evening.
Thanks guys
Haven’t narrowed it down yet, but be careful with my little extensions hack
I believe it was the Google Gears one that blew me out of the water as I tried to reach Google Reader. So, for the moment, are all disabled until I have the urge to sort that out.
I wasn’t aware it was available, I will take a look at it today.
I tried beta and I can not find any super changes in this new version, so I still stay on my 2 version…
