Remember Infrared Ports?

Here’s a dialog that I haven’t seen in a few years:

InfraRed found!

Cool huh? That’s on my Thinkpad 600E which is running Windows 2000 these days. I had just sat my Windows Mobile phone down next to it. Turns out they both had active IR ports.

Technology almost 10 years between them and it worked! I was easily able to shoot a few files back and forth.

This might give me some ideas about longer battery life for the phone too… do I really need the IR port active all the time?

  • I had a similar situation with my phone. Four days ago I went to a friend that have Windows 2000 and the same message appear to his computer.

On my computer I have bluetooth, so It is much simple to me to put what I want to my L7 Motorola.
