Minimo Still Alive? [Updated: Nope]

Does anyone happen to know if the Minimo project is still going? I saw it mentioned in a post over at Web Worker Daily this morning and decided to go check it out. Somehow this one slipped under my radar.

However, the project page states that it is for Windows Mobile 5.0. Well heck, Version 6 has been out for quite some time now… Also, I noticed the copyright stuff on the page is still 2007, not the current year. These signs don’t bode well.

What about Minimo?

Minimo was an experiment in mapping the desktop browser experience to a specific mobile context. While we don’t currently plan to develop that project further, it has already provided us with valuable information about how Gecko operates in mobile environments, has helped us reduce footprint, and has given us a platform for initial experimentation in user experience.

Reckon I’ll keep an eye out for “Mobile Firefox” instead of messing around with Minimo.
