Sysinternals Live

This is almost the most useful and interesting Microsoft “Live” site yet: Sysinternals Live. Now, don’t get too excited about following the link — until you need one of the many excellent Sysinternals utilities.
This new site puts ‘em all in one easy to find place. No need to download and install anything either. If you know the name of what you want to run, just run from a command prompt
\\live.sysinternals.com\tools\<toolname>
That’s handy. But I can’t get it to work. From Vista, with elevated admin mode:
Any tips?
It’s still a quick way to just grab the .exe though, for what that’s worth.
From the blog post:
We’re excited to announce the beta of Sysinternals Live, a service that enables you to execute Sysinternals tools directly from the Web without hunting for and manually downloading them. Simply enter a tool’s Sysinternals Live path into Windows Explorer or a command prompt as \\live.sysinternals.com\tools\<toolname> or view the entire Sysinternals Live tools directory in a browser at http://live.sysinternals.com.

Works for me under XP. Havent tested under Vista though.
There is a significant pause between the time I press enter and the time the application pops up. I am assuming this is the downloading of the applcation.
Thanks for the comment. I tried again tonight and now it is indeed working.
Perhaps the site was just too busy when I first tried?
You see the power of this? Batch files for your most used sysinternal apps. Never worry about having the most current again — always download it on the fly. Cool!
