New Evernote for Windows Mobile Disappoints

Today I noticed that the Evernote blog had a post up titled, “The Shiny and New Evernote for Windows Mobile” and I was initially quite excited to see it. New features, new views and no more resorting to the mobile web to see existing content — instead, there’s an integrated viewer.

Alas, it turns out to be a huge disappointment. I’m not sure if this is an upgrade so much as a lateral slide…
For instance, while the integrated note viewing is quite pleasant, it doesn’t display any check-boxes in the notes. Just leaves a little blank spot where the check-box should be. Being able to update my check-lists from my mobile client would have me cart-wheeling down the street. Seriously… I wish we could have it either here or in the mobile web version.
Want to edit the note? So far, that’s not an option either. There is an “Edit” on the menu, but it is always greyed out — maybe there’s some hope for the future there?
Offline storage? Nope, that’s not an option either. Don’t plan to combine mobile with offline.
Nice start and a nice change, but I’m not sure this one falls in the “upgrade” category just yet.

Oh, and contrary to what you might have read on some SEO forum, this is not a "Do Follow" blog.

I was also very disappointed.I use evernote religiously, but was stuck with verizon so I did not get an Iphone to use the mobile version. i was very excited to see the windows mobile version only to be highly disappointed.
