As I spend more time with Linux I’ve been slowly modifying my most often used apps. I have been experimenting and trying alternatives to some old favorites as I quest for apps that work with both Windows and Linux. Perhaps a lofty goal, but I think I’ve been getting close. Not quite ready to update

How could such a thing be?!? Seriously. Heck, I’m a Linux advocate in most scenarios, but this stuff just makes me feel stupid. I have a home machine dual-booting Ubuntu Some random bits from the social networking scene that caught my attention recently. My favorite social aggregator, Socialthing, has announced that they’ll be dropping support for their current product. They’re not pulling the plug on it until their next “big thing” launches, but no more updates or patches as APIs change in the future.
