Comcast's Mixed Message

This week I received two emails from Comcast, my broadband internet provider. While both are interesting and potentially helpful, I can’t deny that I’m a bit amused at how they send a bit of a mixed message when combined.

The first email was to alert me about the pilot launch of the new Usage Meter.

The 250 GB Challenge and How to Measure

The GigaOm site has an interesting article up about the upcoming 250GB/month cap from Comcast. I must say, as a Comcast internet user,  that the whole thing makes me sad. But I also don’t think we ever get close to that cap so, to be honest, I’m not sure if I care or not.

Comcast’s Arena Rock

One of the features of my Comcast Cable is the “digital music” channels. Commercial free. In particular, I could be easily hooked on the “Arena Rock” channel. Great stuff!
