It’s been a long time since I last tried out assorted desktop search tools. Not sure I’ve looked at any this year as I’ve been reasonably content with the the Outlook plugin “Lookout.” Earlier today I saw that Microsoft had released Windows Desktop Search v3 and decided it was time to dip a Continue reading Windows Desktop Search 3 Released — Does it Work? Maybe I’ve not been paying attention, but it seems like there are a bunch of new features in Google Desktop (beta). For instance, “Search across computers” is pretty darned compelling, and I sure don’t remember that from the last beta. Is there a new announcement coming soon, I wonder? Have to say, google Ok, first off… what the heck?!? www.google.com/microsoft Um, so what’s the deal with that? I saw somewhere someone said there’s similar for linux and unix, but those don’t seem to be there. How odd.
