However, for years I avoided using images for backgrounds because no matter how cool the image, I would inevitably get tired of it. Windows 7 has rekindled my use of images with the built-in Desktop background slide show applet. I love this thing! And once I realized You can find more Essential Apps at the Essential Apps page (which was added at some point after this post was created). Due to my adventurous nature (along with hardware failures, indecision and general turmoil) I’ve had the opportunity to load some Microsoft OS’s over a dozen times in the past month on my own Back in January, I was trying to move my Dropbox files off of my netbook’s little SSD drive and onto an SD storage card. No matter what I tried, I’d get an error about not being allowed to use a removable drive for such purposes. I tried the exact same thing with Live Mesh beta By default, Dropbox stores stuff somewhere under “My Documents” on XP or under “Documents” on Vista. I’ve never had a problem with that – until I started to use it on my Eee netbook. See, that has a tiny little 4GB solid state drive. Where possible, I like to move “transient” and cache data off |
