Here’s a little feature that has been shown to me multiple times over the years. Every time I see it I get all excited by the possibilities — then (sadly) quickly forget it. This time I hope that by writing it down I’ll remember longer… Enjoy the pictures! It turns out that SQL Server Management Studio Composing blog posts in MS Word and then pasting them directly into the WordPress post editor generally causes problems. Layout issues. Font sizes/faces. Broken validation. This is not really news… but based on activity at the WordPress.org support forums, people sure like to do it. Allow me to share a few thoughts. Lots of cool features have been added so if you’re a user you’ll want to go get the update. And hey, if you’re a blogger but not a user (and running Windows…) you really should give it a try. Hmm… When using WordPress 2.5.2’s media uploads I can upload images from Firefox 3 when running Vista. But I can’t when running FF3 from Ubuntu. Last I checked they’re running the same extensions. No luck from Opera/Linux either. With either case, I end up with an HTTP error. Guess I have some research to do. Switching to So who’s going to write a nice WordPress Picknick plugin? There is an API… Would be slick to see on the Write Post page, don’t you think? Upload an image and edit in place. |
