My new work PC developed an aversion to all things related to Adobe’s Flash and AIR earlier this week. Initially I thought it was just a Google Chrome / Flash issue. I’m pleased to say it worked great this time. No “page not found errors.” No hacks, kludges or work-arounds needed. It “just worked” (unlike yesterday). Now then, we have to ponder… why did it work today and I’ve mentioned a few times that I like to use Mozilla’s Prism to run some of my web applications. Today I attempted to get Google Talk going in Prism on my little Linux Xubuntu laptop and hit some challenges. Specifically, no Flash. That’s odd. On my Windows machines Prism runs Flash stuff just fine. But hey, Linux Last week I mentioned that I was in the Hulu Beta. Since then, I’ve played around with it a bit more. I think I can summarize my thoughts with the word “neat.” Want to watch House, Firefly or tons of other popular past and present shows? They got ‘em.
