Well, I thought Maxthon’s WebKit alpha would be the bee’s knees. Alas, no love there for Windows 2000 either. And so I asked myself, “Self, have we ever actually tried Windows XP on this ancient ThinkPad?” Ya know? I don’t think I ever have… a quick look at the XP minimum requirements got me thinking it Here’s a little story that I find amusing. Perhaps you will as well. Last month I got Google Chrome working on my trusty old ThinkPad (Pentium 2) running Windows 2000. I was very pleased — this turned out to be a wonderful way to keep the old laptop useful and responsive.
