Earlier today I decided it was time to re-subscribe to my old weakness, EverQuest, once again. I have upgraded my system since my last time around and was pretty excited to see how this new rig would fair against the stress that EQ can bring to bear. Here’s the current Vista Experience thingy (click for full Long time readers will recall that I’m rather fickle with my gaming. I tend to cycle through World of Warcraft, Everquest 1 and Everquest 2. I like all three and I have friends playing all three — the trick is just finding the time and staying entertained. I tend to be gung-ho for a month A long holiday weekend followed by two vacation days find me still experimenting with EverQuest II. In fact, I’m starting to feel a bit hooked. Some random thoughts and impressions follow. I’m pleasantly surprised at how much fun I’m having dinking around with harvesting and Trade Skills. I’m only a level 12 trade-skiller, but I can Somewhere along the way, my name was added to the Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) distribution list for press releases. I get ‘em. I look at ‘em. But I rarely do anything about them. Earlier this month, however, I received one announcing the latest expansions for both the original EverQuest and EverQuest II. (I should mention I was in the Vanguard SOH beta earlier this year. Wrote about it a few times too. And what’s funny is I started an article with this phrase: No big spoilers, screen shots or surprises. I haven’t actually read the T&C of the beta yet… so not going to push my luck.
