-or- How I got a Grooveshark account I caught a blurb about Grooveshark Lite this morning and decided to give it a look (see, Twitter can provide value). While I know very little about Grooveshark itself, I have to say that the Lite version is very cool! Grooveshark Lite Got a song or group stuck in your One of the features of my Comcast Cable is the “digital music” channels. Commercial free. In particular, I could be easily hooked on the “Arena Rock” channel. Great stuff! So, why can’t I, as a Comcast Cable and Comcast hi-speed internet subscriber, access that stuff via browser? The internet subscription gets me Being of “a certain age”, I have very fond memories of the musical style from the “A Charlie Brown Christmas” cartoon that I grew up with (sponsored by Dolly Madison!). Earlier today I received a comment nudging me towards Pandora Stations. A very cool site capitalizing on the ability to share “stations” created with Pandora. The part that excites me the most is the new music player. Gone are the days of having to download the last.fm client to the current machine you’re using. Instead, there’s a nice little flash player I’ve mentioned the music service Pandora a few times in the past — and can say I still use them quite frequently.
