WordPress 2.3 and Tagging

WordPress 2.3 was released earlier this week. One of the interesting features of this release is built-in tagging. A nice feature to have built-in, but I’ve been a bit hesitant to switch over to it. Frankly, Ultimate Tag Warrior has spoiled me and 2.3 doesn’t come with near the features and functionality that UTW offers.

Looks like the forthcoming WordPress 2.3 won’t be doing my plugins any favors.
Visualize Advanced Features — This one is no longer necessary with 2.3. The editor button that it enabled is now enabled by default!

Last weekend I released my first plugin and received some good feedback. Most of that feedback was along the lines of, “Hey dummy, we use a different Related Posts plugin, not UTW!”
